PLC Controlled Water Jet of Air Preheaters

Air Preheaters pollute the environment during operation, reducing the efficiency of the air preheater, which negatively affects the entire process. With this high pressure system, it is possible to perform fully automatic cleaning of your air preheater quickly and efficiently. DERC Air Preheater Cleaner is a fully electric model, PLC controlled and adjusted by touch screen. The Air Preheater Cleaner is designed to clean with a high pressure water jet in a safe, effective, efficient and ergonomic way. The operator watches the Air Preheater Cleaner from a safe distance. Your installation will be in top condition.

Air Preheater Rails

The Air Preheater Cleaner runs along an aluminum rail. The rail has slotted holes in which the carriage moves. The rail is mounted inside and outside of the air preheater with the two clamps provided. The electric motor and PLC with encoder ensure extremely precise positioning of the carriage of the cleaning manifold.

Manifold and Flows

The Air Preheater Cleaner will be delivered with a high pressure manifold. You can choose a 4 or 5 jet manifold with a maximum working pressure of 700 bar/10K. The maximum capacity of the air preheater cleaner depends on the clearance of the rails. For example, a 6 meter rail with 2 suspension points is 250 l/min with an operating pressure of 700 bar. Maximum flow can be greater when rails are supported from more ground. For extremely high flows or pressures we recommend the XXL version. See our separate web page about our XXL version.

PLC Set on Touch Screen

The Air Preheater Cleaner is very precisely positioned (+/- 1 mm). The operator chooses which program to use. There is an automatic program; Air Preheater Cleaner calculates steps in given parameters or defines operator steps and cleaning time.

During operations, the operator can stop, change, restart the program or manually control the system. The logged data has a unique ID and can be downloaded via the USB port. The operator monitors the cleaning at a safe distance, outside the “line of fire”. PLC automatically controls the process.
